Last month, Club Banora’s Pro Shop moved into the Island House, combining the retail facilities of the Pro Shop with bar and lounge areas of the Island House. 

The new Island House is under the management of Barry Horton, who has been guiding all things golf at Club Banora for the past 28 years.

Barry said golfers and visitors to Club Banora will be able to wander in for a drink after a game of golf or to check out the golfing gear and accessories available from the Pro Shop.

“The bar will be open every day, and we’ll also be serving coffee, tea and light snacks.

“There are some nice spots overlooking the lake where you can relax and enjoy some fresh air, a quiet drink and a game of Keno if you like,” said Barry.

Helping out at the Island House will be two of Barry’s family members, son Rhys, daughter Tegan, and current staff member Tim Black.

So next time you visit Club Banora, wander over to the Island House for a drink or to stock up on some golf gear for the new year.
