Sick kids at Tweed Valley Hospital will be reaching for the stars and living out their superhero fantasies, thanks to a donation of 96 Supertees from Twin Towns.
Supertees are specially designed for children facing lengthy hospital stays and sometimes, life threatening medical conditions.
Cleverly disguised as a fun costume, Supertees are inspired by Marvel characters, Captain America and Captain Marvel.
They enable easy access for thermometer checks and have small press studs on the sides for organising and bypassing IV drips, central lines, feeding tubes and monitor cables. They are also MRI and PET Scan friendly.
On behalf of the staff, children and families at Tweed Valley Hospital, Nurse Unit Manager Reshmi Rathi Kumari extended her heartfelt gratitude to Twin Towns for the generous donation of Supertees.
“This thoughtful contribution has brought so much joy and comfort to our young patients and seeing their smiles when they receive the Supertees is truly heartwarming.
“We are deeply grateful to Twin Towns for their generosity and the effort they have put into making a difference for children who stay in our ward.”
Recently appointed Twin Towns Community Engagement Officer, Kym Kranen, said the best part of her job is meeting recipients of ClubGRANTS such as Reshmi and her team.
“Seeing and hearing firsthand the stories about the positive impacts of a donation makes me very proud to work at Twin Towns.
