Twin Towns has a long history of supporting local junior sporting clubs, including South Tweed Junior Rugby League, whose home turf is the sporting fields adjacent to Juniors.
Their committee first approached Twin Towns back in 2002 and over the years, the Club has provided $187,500 in funding to support this club and thousands of its young players.
The 240-plus juniors members play in the NSW Rugby League Group 18 Competition in teams that range from under 6’s through to under 16’s.
The South Tweed JRL committee’s dedication to their sport extends much further than their own players.
South Tweed JRL regularly welcomes local schools and groups who wish to hold their carnivals at their South Tweed grounds.
The committee assists with running these carnivals and provides equipment and canteen facilities.
