NRL COMMENCES SUNDAY 2 MARCH

Footy season returns to keep you entertained from early March right through to the Grand Finals on Saturday 27 September (AFL) and Sunday 5 October (NRL and NRLW).

NRL fans can take their seats in front of the big screens at 1st on Wharf Tavern, Club Banora or Juniors and settle in for 27 rounds, followed by finals, semi-finals, preliminary finals and the all-important Grand Final on Sunday 5 October.

Throw in State of Origin matches on Wednesday 28 May, 18 June and 9 July and you’ve got over 100 reasons to visit your favourite Club and get amongst the action.

AFL SEASON

The AFL season kicks off on Thursday 6 March with the Opening Round featuring four games played across Queensland and NSW.

This will be followed by another 24 rounds, Finals Week, Preliminary Finals and the Grand Final on Saturday 27 September.

2025 TIPPING COMPETITION

This year there will be one combined tipping competition at 1st on Wharf, Club Banora and Juniors with separate comps for NRL and AFL.

Put your tips in at any of the three Clubs.

The winner will receive $1,000 in Members Advantage Points. Second will win $400 in points and third $100 in points. In the event of a draw, prizes will be shared.

There’ll be $20 in points for the outright top tipper of the week, which jackpots if there’s more than one winner.

Every tipper is also automatically entered in the national Sportspick competition, with over $70,000 to be won in each code.

Remember, get your tips in every week or that great score you built up will take a nosedive!
